Courses

    Driver Education Australia’s courses are based on a number of Key learning aspects.

    • Courses are compliment and reinforce government road safety driving campaigns.
    • Courses are competency based.
    • Courses are based on enabling participants to gain an understanding of high order skill development that is both cognitive and conceptual.
    • Apply mulisensory learning using a range of multimedia technology, software and exercises.
    • Key course outcomes focus on;
        • Motivation and awareness.
        • Risk assessment
        • Hazard detection skills and
        • Self assessment (calibration)

    Course Profiles:

    Amber Light Schools:

    Secondary School Application delivered within the school environment.

    Amber Light - Intensive single and multiple day course.
    Amber Light - Three and Six session course.
    Amber Light - 10 Session course.

    Sessions are run ranging in duration from 40 to 90 minutes.

    Amber Light Community:

    Parent / Driver Coaching (Supervisor) courses

    Apply to adults and students within communities that enables a shared learning culture that focuses on;

    • Developing high order skills;( Hazard Perception, self Calibration and Risk Assessment skills)
    • Introducing greater structure during the 120 learner driver stage;
    • Improve driving (coaching) skills in parents and other people who coach learner drivers; and
    • Expanding the effectiveness of existing safe driving campaigns through program tacit learning.

    All courses can also be tailored to suit individual needs of organizations, schools and community groups. In order to maintain program quality the Amber Light Program is delivered by qualified teachers or professional trainers with certificate 4 qualification.
